So, I like to experiment in the kitchen and I made these up to see how I could embrace the cheesecake concept but without the drama of 3 packages of cream cheese and loads of eggs!
The concept: cheesecake snacks that are easy to make and yummy to consume – but are cheap, cause it’s simple!
Halyma’s Cheeecakelets
8 wonton wrappers
1/2 block cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar – or sugar of your choice
1 egg
1/8 cup Chocolate chips or anything you like to toss on top!
LIghtly spray/grease a mini muffin tin, or regular muffin tin. Use the wonton wrappers to line 8 cups.
Oven to 350 degrees F
Cream the cheese and sugar together. Add the egg and mix well.
Spoon into the 8 cups dividing the filling evenly amongst them.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips or topping of your choice.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown -easy to overbake, but use your judgement!
Let cook slightly, then remove to rack to finish cooling.
YUM!
